Events

Generally speaking, mountain dulcimer events in Washington - or "nearby" - are few and far between.  However, listed below are events that do take place on a continuing basis.  As more information regarding these or other upcoming events become available, details will be posted here:
  • Bellingham Dulcimer Club meetings are held at the Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship facility.  Meetings are in the Flex Room on the 2nd floor of the Fellowship, which is at 1207 Ellsworth Street, between H and I Streets in the Lettered Streets Neighborhood of Bellingham, WA. Meetings, which begin at 1:30PM and last about 2-hours, take place on the 2nd Saturday afternoon of most months.  If unsure as to whether a meeting is scheduled for a particular month, please right click on "Contact" above to E-Mail a Club member for up-to-date information.
  • In late May/early June of each year, the Columbia River Gorge Dulcimer Festival takes place at the Menucha Retreat and Convention Center in Corbett, OR.  In 2014, this year's fifth festival is to take place between Thursday, May 29th and Sunday, June 1st. For more information, click here
  • Sponsored by the Wallowa Valley Music Alliance, Heidi Muller and Bob Webb host Dulcimer Week in the Wallowas at Wallowa Lake in the high country of northeast Oregon in late June/early July of each year.  In 2014, Dulcimer Week will take place between June 30th and July 6th. Presenters will include Karen Mueller, Pam Weeks, Heidi Muller and Bob Webb. For more in formation, contact Heidi at <heidi.muller.music@gmail.com> or call her at 304-382-9422. • Kindred Gathering - aka KG ## - has taken place, of late, in early August of each year, for going-on 40-years.  It takes place, on a rotating basis, in Washington, Oregon or California. Last year's KG 39 was in Oregon, KG 40 will be at a yet to be chosen location in California in 2014 and the festival returns to Washington in 2015 as KG 41. • Each year over Labor Day weekend, the Three Rivers Folklife Society hosts its Tumbleweed Music Festival in Richland, WA.  And the Three Rivers Dulcimer Society participates.  For more information, click here.
