September's jam was fun and interesting. We met at hour new time 10:30 and it took us a little coffee and time to get us warmed up and playing. I enjoyed the morning get together and gave the eight of us time to play out morning away: we played many of the old tunes such as " Whiskey , Black Mountain Rag, etc." and we are perfecting a new tune "Come by the Hills". Its especially enjoyable when Barry brings his fiddle and adds that sweet sound. We stepped out into a beautiful day with plans for some fall activities.
Speaking of which, five of us practiced in Glacier at the home of Walter and Barbara. They had invited us to practice for their friends at the Willows who were up in Glacier enjoying the crisp fall day in the foothills. They served us a wonderful meal and three of us proceeded onto Artist Point to watch the sunset for the fall equinox.
We are planning on more fall and entertainment for groups so please join us in our practices on Monday, 2:30 at 2121 Birch Circle "Sunrise Swim and Racquet Club" and Wednesday at 11:00 at the Willows Retirement Center, Squalicum Parkway.
Our next jam will be October 8, 10:30 Corona Court Clubhouse.
